Meet our Principals
Shareen Smith, Head Principal
Mrs. Shareen Smith has been the principal at Grove Valley since the 23-24 school year. She has been in education for 17 years, with 16 of those years spent in the Deer Creek community. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mrs. Smith taught English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Special Education. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her Bachelor's degree and from Oklahoma State University with her Master's Degree. When asked why she chose a career in education, Mrs. Smith said, "Education, for me, is not just a job; it's a privileged role where I get to contribute to the growth and development of young minds, making each day a rewarding adventure." In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, time at the lake, enjoying movie nights, and traveling as a family.
Victoria Smalley, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Victoria Smalley is the assistant principal at Grove Valley Elementary. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma City University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. Prior to her becoming an administrator, she was an elementary classroom teacher for five years. During that time, she served on various committees at the school and district level. Her mission as a school leader is to provide a safe and loving learning environment, where students feel celebrated, encouraged, and inspired. She believes strongly that every child can develop an endless desire to learn. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, cooking, and spending time with her family.
